The National Assembly adopts the supplementary finance bill for 2020

The draft of the supplementary finance Law for the year 2020 has just been adopted by the National Assembly of people's representatives.

This law mainly involves increasing the budget to meet the urgent needs of the state, particularly concerning its expenses and the salaries of civil servants.

Thus, Article 5 of this law addresses the financing of part of the state's 2020 budget by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT). The central bank is now exceptionally authorized to provide facilities to the public treasury. The amount of this facility must not exceed the sum of 2.810 billion dinars.

This amount will be paid in a single installment and interest-free to the public treasury by no later than December 14, 2020.
